Dr. Jonathan Zwerka
Rochester is where I was born and raised, and where I graduated from Eastridge High School in 1996. I then went on and earned a Bachelor of Arts in Health and Human services from the University at Buffalo. After returning to Rochester, I began to work caring for developmentally disabled adults at the ARC of Monroe. While working in this field, I realized just how much I enjoy caring for others, but I wanted to be able to do more. In order to help more people on a larger scale, it would take a special kind of skill. Chiropractic was the perfect profession for me to reach this goal. Chiropractic care treats the individual through a non-invasive natural approach by considering the human frame and the body’s nutritional needs. I have seen it firsthand where drugs and surgery can be used all too quickly just to see it cause more complications down the road. After seeing these complications I liked that chiropractic aligned perfectly with my beliefs to treat conservatively and I can still reach as many people as possible.
When I graduated from New York Chiropractic College in April 2006, I started my career at a multidisciplinary practice in Long Island. Before long I had an offer to move back home to work in a chiropractic office here in Rochester. It was not long after that when I decided to start my own practice. I was fortunate enough to find a great setting where I was able to partner with two of my closest chiropractic colleagues while we worked alongside massage therapists, an acupuncturist and a naturopath all under one roof. While in this setting I was able to hone and focus my chiropractic adjusting and soft tissue techniques. I have always had a passion for nutrition and incorporating it into my treatment plans has been very beneficial to help my patients achieve true wellness.
An amazing opportunity presented itself in the fall of 2014 when I chose to purchase One Life Chiropractic and combine it with my current practice. This allows me to move only a few miles from my current location. The office will provide evidence based chiropractic care and nutritional support to all of my patients. I am planning a seamless transition and will continue to provide all the services that are currently offered at One Life Chiropractic as well as the services I provide my current patients. By bringing these two practices together, it will allow for a larger chiropractic community that is receiving true wellness care. I will carry on the One Life philosophy by treating the whole body through chiropractic care, nutrition response testing, and various other modalities. As always, I will continue to provide my patients with the best care possible and an honest approach.
